50 years of extensive research showed that a baby's sucking style consists of 3 important steps: "latching on", peristaltic tongue movement (wave-like tongue movement) and swallowing. It also became clear that a baby needed to be able to perform the peristaltic tongue movement to promote natural oral and jaw development.
The NaturalWave® teat is specifically designed with this in mind, allowing the baby to mimic the same tongue movement and easily switch from breast to bottle and back again. As with all our products in the Lansinoh range, the NaturalWave® teat has been created to enable mothers to breastfeed for longer, providing the freedom to express and feed with breast milk, as well as reducing the risk of nipple confusion.
