KRAES
For me, KRAES has been absolutely essential when my son was an infant, and it remains a staple in my changing table and bath products.
The story of KRAES:
We are incredibly happy to have a healthy, active and joyful girl. A little, sweet troll who devours life and looks forward to every single morning. She is a chatterbox, a curious child, and sometimes a little rascal with a trick up her sleeve. When we hear about illnesses in children, we feel uneasy, but at the same time, we feel grateful that we (knock on wood) have a healthy child for the most part. Unfortunately, trees seldom grow into heaven, and we had to accept early on that our daughter has sensitive and slightly irritable skin.
Remarkably many toddlers have skin issues, which they mostly grow out of. It goes without saying that one should have their child tested for allergies to find the cause, but in many cases, skin problems cannot be attributed to a single cause. In the meantime, we try everything while wracking our brains to find a solution... the child is still suffering.
We began researching the chemicals that our children are often exposed to today, for example, through diet, the environment, and skincare products. Was there an alternative to (drying) soap? How could we soothe the irritated skin? And not least, how could we best prevent recurrences?
In our research, we came across a remedy for itching - oats. Throughout history, oats have been described as a recognized remedy for itching, but not only that - oats were also said to have properties to cleanse, moisturize, and protect the skin. With some skepticism, we started adding oats to the bathwater, and immediately we could see a soothing effect. The first thing we noticed was that the skin felt softer and more hydrated after a bath, and that the itching was clearly reduced. Over the next year, we experimented with adding other natural ingredients to find the optimal formula to soothe, moisturize, cleanse, and prevent.
Today, our daughter is twelve years old, and despite having identified and removed some of the everyday allergens she reacts to, we still have a girl with sensitive skin. Unlike before, we now have a tool to ease a reaction, so she doesn’t have to spend a whole night itching when an episode strikes.
Our daughter's skin problems were the catalyst for the development of KRAES - a natural and nurturing alternative to soap! Since then, several natural skincare products have been created, and we are deeply grateful for our fantastic customers, who make it possible for us to continue developing precisely the type of pure baby and children's skincare that we once missed when we were new parents!
Many regards
