FABELAB
Michaela is the founder and chief designer of Fabelab. An Austrian architect who lives and works in Copenhagen. Michaela has embraced Scandinavian design principles and draws inspiration from the stories of people around her, her background as an architect and set designer, and her two young daughters who constantly push for imaginative and meaningful toys.
For Fabelab, thoughtful design is about using the right materials, ensuring fair treatment of workers, and the product's longevity; therefore, Fabelab produces multifunctional products that grow with the child through manufacturers Fabelab respects.
Fabelab's products are made from organic cotton, and they strive to fill their products with organic cotton or recycled polyester where possible. Fabelab is also proud that their Buddies and Soft Rattles are all filled with corn fiber filling, which is the most rounded, natural option for washing and preserving the product's shape and lifespan.
Fabelab also tries to reduce plastic waste in every possible way, as it is one of the biggest concerns in our industry.
Therefore, Fabelab uses biodegradable sugarcane bags to protect their products during transport.
